BGEMS Attends the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference

Nearly 5,000 participants from over 160 countries and regions—including officials from education authorities, leaders of Chinese and international universities, and diplomatic representatives in China—attended the event. The conference was hosted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and co-organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the China International Chinese Education Foundation, and the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching.
During the conference, President Xi Jinping sent a warm message to the young sinologists participating in the event. He encouraged them to fully recognize that “Sinology originates from China and belongs to the world—it is a shared spiritual treasure of all humanity.”
Mr. Martin, CEO of BGEMS, attended the conference on behalf of the Kentucky Confucius Institute in the United States, and joined experts and scholars in exploring innovative pathways and future developments in international Chinese language education amid the wave of digitalization and intelligent technologies.

During this trip, Mr. Martin also held meetings with leaders from BGEMS’ partner institution, North China Electric Power University, to discuss future cooperation on Chinese teacher programs and joint degree programs between Chinese and American universities. We also met with the Jilin Education Association for International Exchange (JEAIE).
