BGEMS Honored at the 2016 China–U.S. Youth Spring Festival Gala

On January 31, 2026, BGEMS was invited by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States to participate in the 2026 China–U.S. Youth Spring Festival Gala in Washington, D.C. Mr. Martin, CEO of BGEMS, and Ms. Ji Hui, Sr. Lead Educational Instructor attended this event.

Hosted by the Chinese Embassy, the gala featured a well-planned activity including a Spring Festival Temple Fair, the “Stories of China” sharing session, and cultural performances. At the event, youth from both countries explored the temple fair together, enjoyed Su embroidery, made tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), created traditional sugar paintings, wore Hanfu, and jointly presented outstanding cultural performances.

During the speeches segment, Xie Feng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the United States; Tan Sen, Chairman of the Board of the China General Chamber of Commerce–USA; and Welch, President of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), delivered addresses.

In the “Stories of China” segment, American teachers and students who had previously participated in exchange and study programs in China shared their personal experiences. They were impressed by the speed of China’s development and the kindness and openness of the Chinese people they met during their visits.

For many years, BGEMS has consistently organized programs such as summer study tours in China and the Mandarin Language Exhibition, allowing students to deeply experience the richness of Chinese culture through active participation, while cultivating international perspectives and cross-cultural understanding.

BGEMS remains committed to advancing Mandarin education, promoting cultural exchange, and pursuing academic excellence, striving to provide students, schools, and educators with diverse and engaging platforms for learning and showcasing their talents.
